This Art Deco Limoges B&C porcelain dish comprises a bevelled tray holding six removable bowls and a central lidded container. The radiating arrangement of the compartments is designed to display hors d’oeuvres or delicacies. The central lid, featuring a notch for a spoon, is topped with a gold-coloured handle.

Its Japanese-inspired decoration features branches of cherry blossoms, rendered in soft pink and deep pink against the white porcelain background. The sinuous lines of the branches and the off-centre motifs create a design that contrasts with the geometric shape of the bowls.

Art Deco period. From 1920.
