A polychrome slipware planter with a rounded body accented by fine fluting. The decoration features a play of gradient glazes, ranging from deep blue to warm brown. This piece is characteristic of the work produced by the Faïencerie De Bruyn, established in Fives-Lille in the late 19th century. In 1889, this factory was awarded a medal at the Paris World’s Fair, recognizing the quality of its craftsmanship.
